I love the Elwood Splinters Blues Band just because they make me feel good! What a great, tight band, full of the blues spirit.
Bruce Bartlett (Recording engineer extraordinaire) We added that comment because it's true!

Why do I love the Elwood Splinters Blues Band? The answer to this is both simple and quite complex. Blues have always held a special place in my heart, and this Band strikes the cord truly. The music moves me to dance and to sing out loud, it allows me to 'snatch it back and hold it', every single time. The great groove that I feel when at a show follows me home and stays with me for days at a time. If you don't love the Blues, you have a a hole in your soul. Elwood Splinters Blues Band fills that void and will make believers out of all who have ears to hear.

Hey Harv,
I decided to take a minute this
morning to let you know that Saturday evening we witnessed a mass of people
rockin' on the plaza in downtown Elkhart from High to Franklin Street and
as far east and west as they could stand between the bank buildings and the
concession trailers, that I hadn't seen in two evenings downtown on the
plaza. They were lovin' the Elwood Splinters Band! We have seen you
guys perform about a zillion times over the years and you were smokin' hot
Saturday night and sounded the best we had ever heard (not that you ever don't
sound good) but you were ROARING! The performance was completely
fantastic! Every one of you were working hard and having fun doing it!!
The best, was a little old couple,
I mean old 80's at least (Mike recognized the gentleman as the owner of a
drive-in restaurant that 30+ years ago used to be out on south Main street in
Elkhart called Ozzie's drive in.) They were standing at their chairs,
swaying and clapping it was precious!
Anyway, The Elwood
Splinter's Band and Ole Harv sure made us proud that you are stewards of our
radio station and The Blues Revue, not to mention how fun it was on a
perfectly glorious evening in downtown Elkhart. Thanks for the good
times!!!
